1 tour package from Coimbatore, 2 days, from ₹7,400 per person.
BR Hills (Biligiri Rangana Hills) is a temple hill and tiger reserve in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka, about 175 km and 4.5 hours from Coimbatore. Our 2 day BR Hills trip starts with pickup in Coimbatore. One price covers the AC vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, parking, Karnataka permit and the stay.
BR Hills is about 175 km from Coimbatore by road, around 4.5 hours of driving with a break. The usual road runs through Sathyamangalam and the Dhimbam ghat into Chamarajanagar district, then climbs to the temple village. The ghat passes through the Sathyamangalam forest, where night traffic is restricted, so we plan both days to cross it in daylight. From the Mysore side the hills are about 90 km away, reached through Yelandur or Chamarajanagar.
We pick you up anywhere in Coimbatore, and the driver stays with you for both days. The Karnataka vehicle permit and entry tax are part of our price.
BR Hills, short for Biligiri Rangana Hills, is a hill range in Chamarajanagar district where the Western and Eastern Ghats meet. Karnataka Tourism says the name comes from the Ranganatha temple on top of a white cliff, and Biligiri means white hill in Kannada. The forest around the temple became a wildlife sanctuary in 1974 and a tiger reserve in 2011, now the Biligiri Ranganathaswamy Temple (BRT) Tiger Reserve, run by the Karnataka Forest Department.
The Soliga people live in these hills. The Chamarajanagar district page on K Gudi mentions Soliga settlements at Kannare Colony and Bhutani Podu.
Sightings are never guaranteed. Treat any animal you see as a bonus; the temple, the forest drive and the quiet are reason enough to go.
Safaris in the tiger reserve are run by the Karnataka Forest Department in its own open vehicles, and the district site names K Gudi as the place for them. The department sets seats, timings and fees, and they change by season. Weekends and holidays sell out, so we try to book as soon as you confirm and tell you at once if no seat is free. Safari tickets and temple sevas are not in our price.
We run one BR Hills trip, the BR Hills 2 days tour package. Day 1 is the drive, the hilltop temple and an afternoon safari, with a night at an eco resort. Day 2 is K Gudi and the drive back to Coimbatore before the ghat closes.

| BR Hills Tour Package from Coimbatore (2 Days) | 2 Days / 1 Night | ₹7,400 |
The BR Hills package costs ₹7,400 to ₹14,800 per person for 2 days and 1 night. The rate per person falls as your group grows, because the vehicle cost is shared. One price covers the AC vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, parking, driver charges, the Karnataka permit and entry tax, and one night at an eco resort named in your quote. Meals (unless the resort includes them), safari and entry tickets and personal expenses are extra.
Yes, for the temple, one safari and K Gudi. At about 4.5 hours each way, BR Hills is one of the closest forest trips from Coimbatore, so a weekend does not feel rushed. A day trip is hard to fit around the ghat timings and safari seats, so we do not plan one.
Karnataka Tourism names June to October, when the rains bring the forest back to life. Some visitors prefer December to April, when the forest is drier and thinner. The temple festival in April fills the hill, so ask us before you fix dates in that month.
For more forest time, look at Bandipur, Kabini or Masinagudi. Mysore is the nearest city for palaces and sightseeing. See every Karnataka trip we run, or call or WhatsApp +91 86101 62373 with your dates.
