Ooty is the closest hill station to Coimbatore, about 3 hours up the Nilgiris ghat road. Every package starts with pickup in Coimbatore and includes the hotel, an AC vehicle with driver and the sightseeing.
Ooty (Udhagamandalam) is the main town of the Nilgiris district, at about 2,240 m. It has lakes, tea estates, the Government Botanical Garden and the Nilgiri Mountain Railway, the UNESCO-listed toy train that climbs from Mettupalayam through Coonoor to Ooty.
From Coimbatore the road runs through Mettupalayam and up the ghat section past Coonoor. Most families stay 2 or 3 days: one day for Ooty town, one for Coonoor and half a day for Doddabetta or Pykara. Our longer packages add Wayanad, Mysore or Munnar.
