This package covers Ooty and Coonoor in 3 days and 2 nights. We pick you up in Coimbatore and drop you back there. The price starts at ₹8,500 per person and includes the AC vehicle with driver, 2 nights in a 3-star or similar hotel in Ooty, and the sightseeing in the plan below.

Ooty is about 85 km from Coimbatore. The drive goes through Mettupalayam and up the ghat road past Coonoor, and takes around 3 hours.

  1. Day 1: Coimbatore to Ooty

    Pickup from your home, hotel, the airport or the railway station in Coimbatore. We drive up to Ooty through Mettupalayam and check in at the hotel.

    In the afternoon you visit Ooty Lake, where you can take a boat out, and the Government Botanical Garden.

  2. Day 2: Coonoor day trip

    Coonoor is about 19 km from Ooty. You see Sim's Park, the valley views from Lamb's Rock and Dolphin's Nose, and stop at a tea estate on the way.

  3. Day 3: Ooty sightseeing and drive back

    Check out and head up to Doddabetta, the highest peak in the Nilgiris, then walk through the Rose Garden.

    Next is Pykara Lake, with a stop at the Pine Forest on the way. In the evening we drive down to Coimbatore and drop you at your pickup point.

Best time to visit Ooty & Coonoor

Ooty is open all year. March to June is the main season, and the Botanical Garden holds its flower show in May, so book early for those months and for long weekends. July and August bring heavy rain. September to November is quieter and green. December to February is cold, with frost on some mornings.
