Kanyakumari tour packages

How far is Kanyakumari from Coimbatore?

Kanyakumari is about 430 km from Coimbatore by road, roughly 8 hours of driving with breaks. The coimbatore to kanyakumari distance makes a one day trip impractical, so we plan it as part of a 4 to 7 day tour. The return is the same distance, so the Kanyakumari to Coimbatore distance is also about 430 km, or about 8 hours.

Most routes break the journey with a night in Madurai or Rameswaram. Our guests usually pick a circuit rather than a straight run, such as the Rameswaram Kanyakumari 4 days tour package.

What can you see in Kanyakumari?

The main sights sit within a short distance of each other. Kanyakumari Pier, also called Sunset View Point, looks over the meeting of the Bay of Bengal, the Laccadive Sea and the Arabian Sea. People often search for this spot as Triveni Sangam.

The Vivekananda Rock Memorial was built in 1970 on a rock about 500 m offshore, and it has a meditation hall. Next to it stands the Thiruvalluvar Statue, 29 m tall on an 11.5 m rock, 40.5 m in all. The state-run Poompuhar Shipping Corporation ferries visitors to both. The Kumari Amman Temple, the Bhagavathy Amman temple on the shore, gives the town its name. Gandhi Mandapam stands where Gandhi's ashes were kept for public viewing, and it is built so the sun's first rays fall on the spot every 2 October.

Timings, ferry queues and entry rules change, so we do not quote them here. Your driver confirms them on the day.

How many days do you need, and which package should you choose?

Allow 4 days for Rameswaram and Kanyakumari together, 6 or 7 days if you add Madurai, Trivandrum or Kodaikanal. A straight Kanyakumari trip is too long for the drive time, so pairing it makes sense.

Package Duration From (per person)
Rameswaram Kanyakumari 4 days, 3 nights ₹12,500
Madurai Rameswaram Kanyakumari Trivandrum 6 days, 5 nights ₹17,500
Madurai Kanyakumari Kodaikanal Ooty 7 days, 6 nights ₹21,000
Madurai Rameswaram Kanyakumari 7 days, 6 nights ₹31,000
Tamil Nadu 12 days 12 days, 11 nights ₹36,000
South India Temples 10 days 10 days, 9 nights ₹45,000
South India 15 days 15 days, 14 nights ₹68,000

How much does a Kanyakumari tour package cost?

Kanyakumari packages start at ₹12,500 per person for 4 days and 3 nights. Longer circuits cost more because they add days and hotels. Each price covers the AC vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, parking and hotel. Meals, entry tickets and personal expenses are extra.

The price range on each package depends on group size, dates and hotel category. The Tamil Nadu 12 days package, for example, runs from ₹36,000 to ₹90,000, and the quote confirms where yours falls. If you cross into Kerala for Trivandrum, the Kerala permit and entry tax are included.

When is the best time to visit Kanyakumari?

January to March is the most comfortable window. The northeast monsoon brings rain to the Tamil Nadu coast from October to December, and April and May are hot. Sky and sea conditions decide how clear the sunrise is, and we cannot promise a view on a given day.

Weekends and festival days are busier at the memorial and the temple, so ask for dates away from a long holiday if you want shorter queues.

Can you combine Kanyakumari with Rameswaram, Madurai and Trivandrum?

Yes. Rameswaram and Madurai are the usual neighbours. Add Trivandrum or Kodaikanal if you want a change of scenery. Many of the searches we see are for kanyakumari to rameshwaram, and the 4 and 7 day packages above cover exactly that pairing.
