This Mysore Ooty 4 days tour package is a private 4-day, 3-night loop from Coimbatore: two nights in Mysore for the palace, Chamundi Hill and Srirangapatna, then a daytime drive through Bandipur to Ooty for one night, and Coonoor on the way home. One price covers the AC vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, parking and 3-star or similar hotels. It is priced from ₹13,800 per person.

We are based in Ganapathy, Coimbatore, and drive this loop with our own vehicles and drivers.
We leave Coimbatore early and reach Mysore by early afternoon. You tour Mysore Palace, which closes at 5.30 pm, then drive up Chamundi Hill for the temple and the city view at dusk.
Morning at Mysuru Zoo, then on to Srirangapatna for the Ranganathaswamy temple and Tipu Sultan's summer palace. In the evening, you watch the fountains at Brindavan Gardens near the KRS dam, with show timings checked for your date. The zoo closes on Tuesdays, so Day 2 never falls on a Tuesday.
Leave Mysore after breakfast for the drive through Bandipur and Mudumalai, where you may see deer or elephants near the road. In Ooty, you take a boat on Ooty Lake and walk the Government Botanical Garden.
Check out and drive down to Coonoor for Sim's Park and the viewpoints, then continue down the ghat to Coimbatore. Your driver picks the viewpoints on the day based on the weather and the mist.
Mysore Palace is open 10 am to 5.30 pm and is lit with about 97,000 bulbs on Sundays and public holidays. Srirangapatna is about 15 km away; its Daria Daulat Bagh closes on Fridays.
In Ooty, the Nilgiris district page on Ooty Lake says John Sullivan, then Collector of Coimbatore, created the 65-acre lake in 1824, and TTDC has run the boats since 1973. The Government Botanical Garden covers 55 acres and holds its flower show every May. In Coonoor, Sim's Park is a terraced garden on the hillside.
Ooty also has a garden run by Karnataka's horticulture department, the Karnataka Siri Horticulture Garden. Most people call it the Karnataka garden in Ooty. We can add it on Day 3 if time allows.
October to May is the easiest time. April and May are Ooty's peak, with the flower show and full hotels. Dasara (September or October) fills Mysore, and monsoon rain from June to September slows the ghat roads. Tell us your dates and we say how busy Mysore will be.
The vehicle is part of the package price. We match it to your group, and you can ask for a different one.

This package starts from ₹13,800 per person. The quote depends on dates (Ooty in May and Mysore during Dasara cost more), hotels, rooms and vehicle. A family of four fits an Innova or Innova Crysta. Groups of 10 to 17 do well in a Tempo Traveller or Force Urbania on the ghat roads. WhatsApp +91 86101 62373 with your dates.
The Ooty Mysore road is about 160 km and runs through two tiger reserves. From Mysore you go south through Nanjangud and Gundlupet, cross Bandipur in Karnataka and Mudumalai in Tamil Nadu, then climb to Ooty via Gudalur. Traffic through Bandipur is banned at night (9 pm to 6 am, under a court order), which is why we do this stretch in the morning. Allow 3 to 4 hours with stops. Forest rules on this stretch can change, so we plan the timing for your date.
KSRTC (Karnataka) and TNSTC (Tamil Nadu) both run Mysore to Ooty buses on the road through Gundlupet and Gudalur, so the bus distance is the same 160 km. Check KSRTC for Karnataka services and the TNSTC booking site for Tamil Nadu buses. A bus fare is far below a private car, but a bus will not stop at the palace, the zoo or Coonoor.
There is no Mysore to Ooty train. The only railway into Ooty is the Nilgiri Mountain Railway from Mettupalayam, reached via Coimbatore. Check current timings on the Indian Railways site before you book the toy train.
Send your dates, group size and pickup point, and tell us whether you want Mysore or Ooty first. We reply with hotels and vehicle in writing. You can also browse more Mysore holidays, Ooty trips from Coimbatore and Coonoor stays.

No. It is two nights in Mysore and one in Ooty. If you want an Ooty itinerary for 4 days, with every night in the Nilgiris, ask us to build one around our Ooty family trip.
It can be. Tell us and we will fit it into Day 3. Karnataka garden Ooty timings are set by the garden, so we check them before your trip.
Yes. We can start with Ooty, go on to Mysore, and drive back to Coimbatore from there via Sathyamangalam. The trip still starts and ends in Coimbatore, and the Bandipur stretch stays in daylight either way.
Safaris are run by the forest department, and seats sell out. If you want one, tell us early and we will try to fit a slot on Day 3; we cannot promise availability.
It depends on group size: sedans, Ertiga, Innova, Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross, Tempo Travellers, Force Urbania, and coach vans or buses for large groups. The quote names the vehicle.
A 30% advance confirms your trip, and the balance date is in your written quote. Cancel 15 days or more before the trip and we refund the full advance. From 14 to 3 days before, we refund half the advance. Within 2 days of the trip, the advance is not refunded.
Families who want every night in the hills should start from our Ooty family holiday and add a night. If you also want Wayanad, take the 5-day Ooty, Wayanad and Mysore circuit. For Mysore alone, see the 3-day Mysore family trip. For a shorter break, take our 3-day Bandipur and Ooty trip. Women travelling together can look at our women-only South India tour, and older travellers at the senior citizens' South India tour.
