This Dandeli adventure package is a private 4-day, 3-night trip from Coimbatore to the Kali river forests of Uttara Kannada. You get a full day on the water (rafting, kayaking and a coracle ride), a safari day with Syntheri Rocks and Supa Dam, and sunset at Shiroli Peak. One quote covers the AC vehicle and driver, fuel, tolls, parking, driver charges and your forest resort. The price is ₹17,000 to ₹34,000 per person.

It suits friends’ groups, college groups and active families. We run it from Ganapathy, Coimbatore, in our own vehicles with our own drivers.
Dandeli is a long way from Coimbatore, roughly 800 km by road. Even with a 3 am start you arrive in the evening, so the nature walk happens only if the light allows; otherwise it moves to Day 2 morning. Check in at the forest resort. Drive times vary with traffic and stops.
White-water rafting on the Kali river, which Dandeli is known for, then kayaking, a coracle ride and time in the river's rock pools that operators call the "jacuzzi". Karnataka Tourism describes the rafting stretch as Class II to III rapids over 9 to 12 km, with safety gear and trained guides compulsory. Kayaking on the Kali has its own Karnataka Tourism page. Night in Dandeli. What the operator includes at the rock pools and the minimum age for rafting depend on the operator, and we confirm both in your quote.
An early open-jeep safari in the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, then Syntheri Rocks and the Supa Dam viewpoint. Both are listed on Karnataka Tourism's sanctuary page, along with the Kavala caves if you want an extra stop. Night in Dandeli.
Our plan has sunset at Shiroli Peak. The drive back to Coimbatore is about 800 km and takes 13 hours or more with stops, so this is a long day. We suggest a morning visit to Shiroli Peak and an early start, and an extra night on the way can be added on request. We drop you at your pickup point in Coimbatore.
Dandeli is about 800 km away, so most of Day 1 and Day 4 is driving. You can also take a train to Hubballi or Londa and and ask us about a local vehicle from there. The Karnataka vehicle permit and entry tax are included in the price. Your written quote states exactly what else is included, including any extra kilometres.
The Kali river runs through the sanctuary and decides most of the trip: rafting depends on water released from Supa Dam upstream. Syntheri Rocks and the Kavala caves are inside the sanctuary, and Shiroli Peak gives wide views over the Western Ghats. Wildlife sightings on the safari are never guaranteed.
Karnataka Tourism gives October to March for the sanctuary and October to June for rafting, depending on dam flow and forest permission. In the monsoon the river is too high to raft. If rafting is the reason you are going, ask us to check before you pay.
Rafting and safari slots are controlled by the forest department and operators and can sell out on weekends. We book them as soon as you confirm, and tell you straight away if a slot is not available.
The vehicle is part of the package price. We match it to your group, and you can ask for a different one.

No. It sometimes turns up in hill station lists, but it is a forest and river town on the Kali, warmer than the Nilgiris towns you may know. Pack light cotton clothes and a rain jacket.
The plan has a guided nature walk on Day 1 and short walks at Syntheri Rocks and Shiroli Peak. Longer Dandeli trekking trails need forest department permission; ask us and we will check what is open.
The nearest coast is around Karwar and Gokarna, around 100 km away. If you want both, our Gokarna and Dandeli circuit does the river and the beaches in 5 days.
Operators give life jackets and helmets, and guides ride in each raft. Tell the operator if you cannot swim. Children and people with health conditions may not be allowed on the rapids.
A 30% advance confirms your trip, and the balance date is in your written quote. Cancel 15 days or more before the trip and we refund the full advance. From 14 to 3 days before, we refund half the advance. Within 2 days of the trip, the advance is not refunded.
With only a weekend, the 3-day Dandeli weekend covers rafting and the safari. Families with young children may enjoy a quieter wildlife trip like the Kabini wildlife weekend, which is much closer to Coimbatore. Of our Dandeli adventure packages, this one has the slowest pace. For a waterfall break in a different part of Karnataka, see Shimoga and Jog Falls in 3 days.
