1 tour package from Coimbatore, 10 days, from ₹45,000 per person.
Tirupati is the base for the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, about 460 km from Coimbatore. We pick you up in Coimbatore and include Tirupati in a 10 day South India temples plan, with one price for the AC vehicle, driver and hotels.
Tirupati is about 460 km from Coimbatore by road, a drive of around 8 hours with breaks. The city sits at the foot of the Seshachalam Hills in Andhra Pradesh, and the Tirumala temple is on the hills above it. If you want a Tirupati car package from Coimbatore, the usual plan is to drive up the day before darshan, stay the night, and start early. Our driver stays with you throughout.
Darshan is booked through Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), not through us, so plan your slot before you fix the travel dates. TTD's website shows a Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) counter and says tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, with live availability that can change by the time pilgrims reach the counters. Dress code rules are linked on the same site.
Because darshan tickets and offerings are paid to the temple, they are not part of our package price. Tell us your darshan date and slot when you ask for the quote and we schedule hotel and driving around it, including the climb to Tirumala.
The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is one of eight Svayam Vyakta Kshetras (self manifested temples) of Vishnu and has about 1,150 inscriptions in Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The Silathoranam, a natural rock arch, is about 1 km from the temple. Back in town, the TTD website lists the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor, and other temples in and around Tirupati. The Sri Venkateswara National Park, part of the Seshachalam Hills, covers 353 square km.
The Tirupati district website describes the district as covering 8,827 sq. km, with the hill part about 2,500 feet above sea level, and features Srikalahasti Temple, Chandragiri Fort, Kapila Theertham, Talakona Waterfalls, Tiruchanur, the S V Zoological Park and the Regional Science Centre. TTD lists Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple at Tirumala and Sri Govindarajaswami Temple and Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati town. Which of these fit depends on how many days you have, and we plan the order around your darshan slot.
November to February is the most comfortable window for the queue and the climb, while April and May are hot on the plains. TTD's site shows ticket slots day by day, so check it before you fix the date.
We currently sell Tirupati inside one longer plan, the South India Temples 10 days tour package. It starts at ₹45,000 per person for 10 days and 9 nights, with AC vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, parking and 3-star or similar hotels in one price. Meals, entry tickets and personal expenses are extra.
| Package | Length | From (per person) |
|---|---|---|
| South India Temples 10 Days Tour Package | 10 Days / 9 Nights | ₹45,000 |
The price depends on group size, hotel category and travel dates. Because the plan is long, you get several temple towns on one fixed itinerary. If you only want a Tirupati trip, we can quote a separate car and driver plan: tell us your dates and group size. If you want Tirupati along with other southern temple towns, ask which stops can be added: Rameswaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari have their own pages.
It depends on how much time you have. A Tirupati only trip means about 16 hours of driving for one darshan, so many families would rather fold it into a longer pilgrimage route. The 10 day plan works out to about ₹4,500 per person per day at the starting price, and it covers the vehicle, driver and hotels for the whole period.
If you have only a long weekend, send us the darshan date and we quote a car and driver for the Coimbatore to Tirupati run and back. We confirm hotel and driving hours in the quote before you pay anything.
Yes, with planning. The long drive and the queue are the tiring parts, so we keep driving days short and let you rest the evening before darshan. Tell us about mobility needs when you ask for a quote so we choose the hotel and timings to suit.
