This Kabini Mysore tour package gives you one night on the Kabini river for forest safaris and one night in Mysore for the palace, Chamundi Hill and Brindavan Gardens. It runs 3 days and 2 nights from Coimbatore in a private AC vehicle with our own driver. The price is ₹12,800 to ₹25,600 per person. The quote covers vehicle, driver, fuel, toll, parking and both hotel nights; safari seats are booked when available.

It works well for families and couples who want a wildlife morning and a heritage day in the same short trip. We are based in Ganapathy, Coimbatore.
Early start so you reach Kabini around lunchtime, depending on traffic and stops. In the afternoon you go into the Nagarhole Tiger Reserve on the Kabini side, by jeep or on the river. Each safari takes up a whole session, so you get one on Day 1 afternoon and the other at dawn on Day 2. Safari timings change by season, so we plan the slots around your travel date.
Second safari at dawn, breakfast, then the drive to Mysore. Afternoon at Mysore Palace, which is open until 5:30 PM. In the evening you can walk to Devaraja Market, the city's main market for shopping, close to the palace.
Morning on Chamundi Hill, then Brindavan Gardens, below the KRS dam, about 21 km from the city. After lunch we drive back to Coimbatore.
Coimbatore to Mysore is about 200 km. Kabini lies south of Mysore on the edge of Nagarhole. You stay in the same vehicle throughout.
Kabini boat safaris are run by the Karnataka Forest Department twice a day, 6:30 AM to 9:15 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:15 PM, according to Karnataka Tourism's Kabini backwaters safari page. Seats are limited, and the boat can stop in summer if the water is too low or in heavy rain. Your lodge usually books it.
About Mysore Palace: it is built in an Indo-Saracenic style that mixes Hindu, Rajput and Mughal elements, with the Durbar Hall and Kalyana Mantapa inside, per Karnataka Tourism's Mysuru guide. Mysore Palace history goes back to the Wadiyar kings; the present building replaced an older palace.
Chamundeshwari is the best-known temple in Mysore. On its history, Karnataka Tourism's temple page says the 17th-century temple got its gopura in 1830 under Krishna Raja Wodeyar III. Halfway up is the 15 ft granite Nandi, and pilgrims climb 1,008 steps; you go up by road.
Brindavan Gardens covers 60 acres below the dam. The Brindavan Gardens page lists it as open 6:30 AM to 8 PM, with the musical fountain from 6:30 PM. On this plan you see it by day so you are not home after midnight.
October to May is safari season for most visitors. The forest dries out from March, which makes animals easier to see near water, but it is hot. Monsoon months can stop the boat safari.
The vehicle is part of the package price. We match it to your group, and you can ask for a different one.

Yes, it is about 15 km from Mysore. For Srirangapatna history, start with Tipu Sultan, who died when British forces stormed the Srirangapatna fort in 1799. The river in Srirangapatna is the Kaveri, which splits around the island town. Karnataka Tourism's Srirangapatna page lists the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple as open 7 AM to 1:30 PM and 4 PM to 8:30 PM. The Srirangapatna Vishnu temple holds the largest reclining Vishnu idol in Karnataka.
Yes, Brindavan Gardens charges entry at the gate, and it is not in our quote. The fee changes, so check the current rate at the gate.
A 30% advance confirms your trip, and the balance date is in your written quote. Cancel 15 days or more before the trip and we refund the full advance. From 14 to 3 days before, we refund half the advance. Within 2 days of the trip, the advance is not refunded.
For more time in the forest, take the Kabini wildlife weekend. For Mysore without a safari, the two-day Mysore trip is shorter. For a longer loop, Bangalore, Mysore and Coorg in 5 days covers more ground, and waterfall fans can look at Shimoga and Jog Falls. More: Kabini trips, Mysore trips and our Karnataka holiday list.
